What to Know Before Buying
Dishwashers can vary greatly in price and they vary equally in features. It has been said that" "A cheap refrigerator does get cold, but a cheap dishwasher does not wash dishes."

The three most important factors affecting your dishwasher selection are

• its' ability to clean dishes
• how quiet it is
• loading capacity and flexibility

Less expensive dishwashers can have only one wash arm. The higher end models have 3 wash arms to produce cleaner dishes. It is a general rule that the more expensive the dishwasher, the quieter it is. Higher end dishwashers have a stainless steel interior. Aside from not absorbing odors or smells, the stainless interior allows the manufacturers to bake on a material to further reduce vibration and sound.

Loading flexibility should also be considered. Some dishwashers allow tines to be folded down for larger pots and pans.
