The program from the Maryland government applies to clothes washers and refrigerators that have a CEE II or CEE III rating. This is higher than the Energy Star rating. Most energy companies in Maryland also offer rebates on ALL energy star products on top of the government program. Check with your local ApplianceLand store to find out what additional rebates are available from your power companies.
How much is the rebate?
The government is offering $100 on qualifying Washers and $50 on qualifying Refrigerators. Remember this is on top of the power companies program which can often be an extra $50-$75.
